Wonderfull Safaris - Excellent Service
We booked 3 different Safaris and one local flight. Gorilla Trekking in Uganda, Safari 1 (Amboseli, Tsavo West and East) and a safari to the Masaii Mara. Local flight from Mombasa to Nairobi. All bookings went well. The service is excellent. The Safari to Amboseli and Tsavo that we made with Designer Safari's own driver (George) and their vehicle was perfect. The car (Landcruiser) was pretty new. Our driver was well trained and a safe driver. We had wonderfull gamedrives with him. Thank you Designer Safaris, the private bird watching safari around Kenyan lakes was fantastic and beyond expectations! As we know when trying to experience nature, at times we might not get 100% of what we want. Even then, Designer Safaris was able to deliver an incredible experience. We were interested in bird watching but in particular flocks of thousands of flamingos in the wild, and by Designer Safaris relying on professionals and experts who were aware of climate change and the different migration routes of birds, we were able to achieve our objectives and more. If you read about lake Nakuru, 20 years ago it was one of the biggest sanctuaries for flamingos (in the millions), not longer the case. However, Designer Safaris was aware of these changes and took us to the new sights. From day one of preparation for the trip, Alex, the company's manager, paid close attention to the type of trip we were looking for and by assigning "Julius", our driver, an experienced professional in Kenya's tourism industry, we were able to see, photograph, admire, a large number of species of birds in lakes Baringo, Bogoria, Nakura National Park, and Elementaita. Worth mentioning.... when our flight returning home was cancelled, Designer Safaris was able to put together an extension to our trip in less than 24 hours and visited Amboselli National Park, with the imposing volcano Kilimanjaro. Wonderful Week Long Safari Experience
As a travel agent, I am always looking for partners to share experiences for my clients. Designer Safari is one that I would unequivocally recommend to my clients in the future. In planning the itinerary for my clients with Designer Safari, we were able to customize a six day safari specific to interests and budget. A great, well organized and safe safari experience.
We have been on many types of safaris in Africa over 41 years. We've done self drive, expensive group tours and also using local companies, like Designer Safari, with a Landcruiser and a driver. We can't imagine doing it any other way. We will only hire locally anymore; you can choose any itinerary, hotels and lodges you want and somebody like Alex can quote you. Designer Safari, and Alex, stepped up and provided us with a great experience based on our budget and interests. We traveled with our friend, a US travel agent, and she and Alex put together what she and my husband and I wanted. We always felt safe with driver/guide Geoffrey, thoroughly enjoyed his company, his knowledge and most importantly -- his driving skills on some crazy roads! I believe that local tour operators like Alex can put together any kind of safari you want, from budget to true luxury, fly or drive between locations, golf, add other nearby countries, etc. We chose a midrange experience and were overall pleased with our locations in Masai Mara, Amboseli, Tsavo, etc. If one lodge had better WiFi , then the next may have better showers! It all evened out. We saw and did all the usual animal experiences. If you've never done safari, you need to. Alex even came to our rescue when our Nairobi hotel stay (booked entirely by us, not him) was a bad experience. We had to leave a very shoddy, dirty property and our friend immediately texted Alex who advised Deerpark Luxury Stay. OMG! And almost the same price. Utter paradise. The time of my life!
If you're thinking about booking an adventure with Designer Safari, stop thinking about it - and do it. From start to finish, this experience was magical. Everyone who works with the Designer Safari team is wonderful. Their warm spirits, kindness and passion for the Masai Mara's animals was truly inspiring. Beyond the incredible people and the animals (and really, what more could you possibly need?!), the food was outstanding, and the 'tents' (that word feels oh so wrong for their level of luxury) were absolutely gorgeous. Unforgettable Experience - Design Safari
Having gone through Design Safari to organize our stay for &beyond Kichwa Tembo Safari - was just the best idea ever. From the beginning to the end we found in Mr. Mutuma Koome a professional and attentive interlocutor ready to answer all our questions. The stay at & beyond Kichwa Temba Lodge was simply unforgettable and we had difficulty leaving the lodge on the day of departure. Great professionalism at all levels reception, room, meals, guide for outings in the bush. In addition we had the chance to admire much more than the simply unforgettable Big 5 and we were amazed... Amazing Kenya by Designer Safari
It was one of the most memorable trips, with Golf and Wildlife intertwined. The trip was fantastic and everything worked out seamlessly! The hotels and the tours you recommended were excellent! Hotel locations in particular were ideal, and that experience of wildlife was very special for us, we saw all the 5, and thanks to ,Eunice Koome she is such an amazing organizer , she goes that extra mile in ensuring the comfort, there personalized service , ease and happiness of whoever comes in contact with her.
